departed this life
March 24, 1873
Aged 54 years
He united with the Baptist Church when
young and lived a Christian life, From
early life he was afflicted with heart disease
from which he suffered much at last taking
dropsy which soon took him to rest he ???h
his afflictions with great patience remem
bering that God chasteneth those he loveth
He left a devoted wife and six children to
mourn his loss. Yes! they miss him for his
good counsel. He was a kind, indulgent
Father and devoted husband.
The hour of his departure came
He heard the voice that called him home
At last O Lord, let troubles ceace
And let thy servant die in peace.
