Found in The State 27 March 1972: Thomas A. Peeples, 58, of 1822 Manley St., Cayce, died in the Griffin Spradling Hospital in Griffin, Ga., Saturday after a short illness. Mr. Peeples was born in Richland County, a son of the late Theodore A. Peeples Sr. and Susie Robinson Peeples and had made his home in Columbia and Cayce all his life where he was a member of the Green Street United Methodist Church and was a retired cab driver. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eveline Peeples of Columbia; a son, Charles A. Peeples of Columbia; a stepson, Thomas Roland of West Columbia; a daughter, Mrs. Stella Mae Hook of Cayce; three brothers, Edgar, Murphy and Carl Peeples of Columbia; and two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Granger and Mrs. Sadie Dupuy of Columbia. Services will be at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Thompson Funeral Home conducted by Brig. Daniel Cartin. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Park.
