MR. PIKE
VALLEY -- Mr. Zion Hubert Pike, 84, of Valley died Sunday, May 13, 2001 at the Care Center of Opelika.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 15 at 2 p.m. (EDT) at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Pike is survived by his sister, Clemma Ingram of Eufaula, Ala.; two nieces, Sarah East and Nellene Sanders, both of Valley; three nephews, James Phillip Pike of Valley, Paul Leon Pike of Palmetto, Ga., and Charles Lynwood Ingram of Eufaula; seven great-nieces, Jan Martin, Delana Swatts, Lisa Tinney, Teresa Morris, Maria Williams, Renetta Thrift and Chandra Wood; three great-nephews, Derrick Pike, Tyrone Pike and Paul East; and 22 great-great-nieces and -nephews.
Born Dec. 23, 1916 in Tallapoosa County, Ala., Mr. Pike had been a farmer most of his life. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Carrie Texas Hurst Pike and F. Zion Pike.
The family will be at the home of Nellene Sanders, 5101 26th Ave. in Valley. The family will receive friends Monday, May 14 from 7 until 9 p.m. (EDT) at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
