Albert was the son of Edward & Sarah Peniwell Allshouse. He married Cora Gertrude Chamberlain, the daughter of William & Florence Peck Chamberlain, on May 9, 1904 in Bloomington, Illinois. They were the parents of a son, William Burton Allshouse. Mrs. Allshouse passed away in 1907.
He married Anna Graham, the daughter of Nels & Annette Johnston Graham, on June 1, 1908 in Chicago. The couple were the parents of Fern, Jeanne and Herbert Graham Allshouse. He was widowed, again, in 1918.
After the death of his second wife, Mr. Allshouse hired Sebia Portwood, the daughter of David & Armilda Durbin Portwood, to care for his children. Later, Albert and Sebia were married and lived happily together for the remainder of his life.
