ARRANGEMENT PENDINGSALEM – Ileen G. (Dishong) Barnes, 83, of Salem, died at 4:47 a.m. Sunday at Hospice House due to a motor vehicle accident on March 13 on Tippecanoe Road. She was born on February 14, 1930 in Unity Township, Ohio to the late John H. and Florence M. (Kuntz) Dishong. She was a graduate of East Fairfield School, and worked at Slagles with the eggs and in the shipping deptartment of Snyders Model A Antique Autos in New Springfield. She enjoyed spending time with her family and the grandchildren. She was a member of the Salem Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith. There were many things special to her like her card playing, bingo, square dancing, watching the birds and her puzzles. She and her husband were active members of Salem UCT #590. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Barnes on March 14, 1972 and by her second husband Warren S. Barnes on March 6, 2013. She is survived by a daughter, Sandy (John) Lucas of Columbiana and her daughter Heather (Garret) Wolfe and their children Dustin and Kaitlyn, a daughter Cindy (Mel Nenadic) Barnes of Columbiana, and a step daughter who she thought of as a daughter, Lynda Beamer of Salem, her son Shawn (Kelly) Beamer and his son Kage. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Arwood Dishong. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral Home, Salem, with Bros. Kim Bergman and Ray Luxeuil officiating. The burial will immediately follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenford. A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
