Obituary
Mary J. (Bloniarz) Stachowiak, 87, of Rockville, and more recently of Bonita Springs, Fla., died Monday, March 25, 2013, with her family by her side. She was the widow of Richard Stachowiak.
She was born in Rockville, to the late Charles and Sophie (Kobak) Bloniarz. A lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Mary sang in the choir, and was a member of the St. Helen's Society and the Rosary Society. Mary loved cooking, reading, and spending time with her large family. She also enjoyed travel, and especially, camping. She was retired from Hamilton Standard.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Menditto and her husband, James, of Estero, Fla.; Mary Paduch of Fort Myers, Fla.; her son, Daniel Stachowiak and his wife, Karoli, of Coventry; her brothers, Chester, Frank, and Stanley Bloniarz of Vernon, and Joseph Bloniarz of Enfield; her sister, Charlotte Bielski of Enfield; five grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; six great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Matthew Stachowiak, three brothers, John, Edward, and Walter Bloniarz, and two sisters, Lucy Roszczewski, and Anna Popick.
Relatives and friends may join the family Monday, April 1, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 33 West St., Rockville. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
