From the Reno Gazette-Journal, April 4, 2010:

Grover Charles Freeman passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the age of 87. Grover was born on August 27, 1922 in Fallon, NV. At the age of 18, he joined the Navy as a blacksmith.

After serving 4 years of active duty, he met his beautiful and soon to be loving wife, Joy Elaine Farrell. They were married on February 27th 1946 and had two beautiful daughters Ronda Dee and Jacklyn Gay.

After leaving active duty in the Navy, he continued his time as a reservist. While he was doing reserve duty he started a new career with the Nevada Fish and Game (The Department of Wildlife) as an Administrator in the licensing division.

He later retired from the Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer with 39 years of service with many awards and commendations. He also retired from the state after 26 years of rewarding work. After Grover retired he traveled the continent with his sweetheart while making lots of friends and having the time of his life.
