Robert Charles Hall, 67, retired superintendent of maintenance at Rosewood State Hospital, died suddenly yesterday of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Hall, who formerly spent more than twenty years as an automotive maintenance engineer with the Baltimore Transit Company, retired last year.
He was graduated from the Mercerberg Military Academy in 1917, and from the Johns Hopkins University in 1922, where he was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa honorary society and the Alpha Delta fraternity.
Active in the Society of the Colonial Wars, the Engineers Club of Baltimore and the Baltimore Coin Club, Mr. Hall was a lifelong member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Ruxton, where he was acting junior warden.
Held Rank Of Major During World War II
He served with the Army in the European Theater of Operations and was discharged with the rank of major. He had previously spent 30 years in the Army Reserve.
Son of the late Charles Linden Hall and Anna Woods Hall, he lived at his Riderwood estate, Linden.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marian Howard Hall; a son, Robert Charles Hall, Jr., of Ashland, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Hall Waterman, of Barrington, R.I.: a sister, Mrs. Helen Hall Duncan, of Francistown, N.H., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. tomorrow at the family home in Riderwood. Burial will be private. (The Baltimore Evening Sun, Friday, June 12, 1964)
