Abraham J. Yoder, 72, died in his home in Elk Lick township of a cerebral hemorrhage Friday. He was born June 18,* 1887 in Elk Lick township, the son of Jacob B. an d Lydia Gnagey Yoder. He is survived by his widow Nellie Hahn Yoder, Meyersdale RD I, and the following six sons: Arthur, Albert, Roy, Melvin, and David Yoder of Meyersdale RD 1, and Charles Yoder of Severn, Md. Two daughters: Mrs. Sadie Christner, Meyersdale RD 1, and Mrs. Evelyn Campbell, Wisner, La. One brother: Mahlon Yoder, Meyersdale RD 1. Three half brothers: Edward Yoder, Sand Patch; Frank Yoder, Tiffin, O., and Floyd Yoder, Lebanon. He was a member of the Summit Mill Brethren church of Meyersdale, and a member of the International Hod Carriers union*. Funeral services will he held in the Summit Mill Brethren church Monday 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Gerald B. Pullman. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery in Salisbury under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas funeral home, Salisbury. Somerset Pa. American, June 19, 1950
