Funeral services for Claude Cannon, 88, of St. George, Utah wil be held on Monday, October 25, 1976 at the Eighth LDS Ward Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Firends may call at Metcalf Mortuary on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Mr. Cannon was born December 22, 1887 at St. George, Utah to David H. and Josephine L. Cosgrove Cannon.
He married Partha Ann Hunt on January 1, 1908 in the St. George Temple. She died October 4, 1958. He married Priscilla Lambert Hjorth on September 2, 1959 at St. George, Utah. She died May 6, 1974.
Mr. Cannon died October 21, 1976 at the Vegas Valley Convalescent Home in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Mr. Cannon was a plumber in the Las Vegas area. He lived there for 35 years before coming to St. George, Utah. He was an active member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include four sons and four daughter: Bernard C. and Willard H., Las Vegas, Nevada; Richard H., Las Vegas, Nevada; Lester E. North, Las Vegas, Nevada; Mrs. Cruz "Leonra" Aree, Rial, California; Mrs. Frank "Ruby" Larson, Washington, Utah; Mrs. Randy "Ann" Wagenlehner, Wilmington Beach, California; Mrs. "Jessie" Robison, Boulder City, Nevada; 37 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, four brothers: Mrs. Theressa Huntsman, Enterprise, Utah; Mrs. Clara Burgessand Raymond and Harold, all of St. George, Utah; Douglas, Tremonton, Utah; Earl, Santa Monica, California.
Interment will be in St. George City Cemetery under direction of Metcalf Mortuary.
