Ella I. Cutlip, 81, died March 29, 2001, in the Braxton Health Care Center, Sutton, after a long illness. She was born March 5, 1920 in Webster County. She was a homemaker and a Protestant. On November 7, 1940, she married Robert D. Cutlip. She was the daughter of the late Luther Raymond and Myra Jane Barnette Sears. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ray and Orval Sears, and three sisters, Nella and Della Collins, and Avanell Williams. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert D. Cutlip; daughter, Karen Boone and husband Bill, of Sutton; grandson, Adam Boone of Sutton; brothers, Roy Sears of Birch River, and Cecil Sears of South Bend, Indiana; sister Emogene Squires of East Liverpool, Ohio. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 1, 2001 at 2 pm at the Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, with the Rev. William Griffin and Rev. Tom Propst officiating. Burial was in the Braxton County Cemetery near Sutton. Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, was serving the Cutlip family.
