Mary, age 78, passed away peacefully after a long illness at her home on Friday, April 26, 2013 with her family by her side.

She retired in 1985 after 29 years of service with the DuPont Company. Mary heart fully enjoyed her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her husband Joseph Abbott of 44 years; a son, Lee Vincent and his wife Diane; 2 granddaughters, Kimberly and Julie Vincent and 2 step- grandsons, Jeffrey and Mark Boyle and her 2 beloved cats, Amy and Molly. She is preceded in death by her 5 brothers and 1 sister.

A viewing will be held on Friday May 3 from 8:30 to 9:30 am with a funeral service to follow at 9:30am at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOMES, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy,(at Duncan Rd) Wilmington. Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions can be made to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A St., Wilm., DE 19801 or Faithful Friends, 12 Germay Dr., Wilm., DE 19804
