Father Zlotkowski was ordained a priest on June 2, 1951. His first and last assignment was at Saint Adalbert in Saint Paul - associate pastor the first time and as pastor from 1977 to 1988 when he retired. In between this he served as pastor at Saint John the Baptist in Savage; Saint Patrick in Saint Patrick and Saint Catherine in Spring Lake Township; Saint Andrew in Elysian and Immaculate Conception in Marysburg.
While in Elysian, Father Zlotkowski was instrumental in fundraising for the building of the 1976 church. He personally did all of the electrical wiring in the new building.
