Her mother was Mabel D. Whitcher, who married Irvin George Netcott on 15 July 1912. By 1920, Mabel Netcott is on the census as a widow. Her 3 children, Nada, Norma, and Donald were living with her parents. By 1930 she married William G. Sharp, but none of the children were living with them at the time of the census.

Cecil Axline was her first husband and Ralph Thomas Cornwell was her second. So her maiden name was apparently actually Netcott."
