WWI George Passmore Bible bible was a well-known humorist, lecturer, author, and the first president of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. His grandson, Richard "Dixie" Walker was Ambassador to South Korea under Ronald Reagan. His wife, Sarah Bradley Bible was a well- known local artist.
