David Earl Beach, 70, of Oskaloosa, KS., died Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born January 2, 1943 in Springfield, MO., the son of Raymond Lenard and Louise Pollyanna Willard Beach. David attended Turner High School in Kansas City, KS. He worked as a machinist for Santa Fe Railroad for 23 years, before retiring in 1993. He also worked for Muncie Auto Salvage in Turner, KS. He enjoyed farming and gardening at the family home in rural Oskaloosa. He married Anna Janette Phillippe at Miami, OK., on February 14, 1975, She survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, David Michael "Mike" and wife Missy Beach, of Oskaloosa, James Dennis "Denny and wife Courtney Beach, Broken Arrow, OK., and one Daughter Susan and Husband Jeff Mitchell, Oskaloosa, KS., four brothers, Jerry Beach, Tonganoxie, KS., Joe Beach, SR., Lawrence, KS., Ronnie Beach, Oskaloosa, KS., Martin Beach, Topeka, KS., and two sisters, Linda Hisaw, and Norma Allen, both of Branson, MO. Eight grandchildren, Jessie and Derek Beach, Breanna, Lauren, Lane, and Keirstyn Mitchell, Braeden and Avaree Beach. Services for Mr. Beach will be Monday, April 29 at 3:00PM at the Barnett Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa. In Lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the David E. Beach Memorial Fund, and sent in care of the Barnett Family Funeral Home, PO Box 602 Oskaloosa, KS., 66066.
