Richard R. Loupe, 71, of Nederland, died, Thursday March 8, 2007 of sudden illness. A native of Port Arthur, Tx. He was born November 12, 1935 to the Late Oliver &Rosalie Loupe. He lived in the Nederland/Port Neches area most of his life.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, graduated from Lamar University and retired with 35 years of service from Texaco Chemical in Port Neches. He was an active member of Church on the Rock.

He is survived by his wife Mary of Nederland, sons, Richard Loupe and his wife Carol of Nederland, Mike Loupe and his wife Kathy of Arlington, and Jeff Loupe of Dallas, one granddaughter, Morgan Dell'Aqura of Stamford, CT, three grandsons, Chris, Corey Loupe of Nederland and Connor Loupe of Arlington. Also, one very special great grandson Cade Loupe of Nederland, brother Ray Loupe of Knoxville, TX. He is also survived by countless friends, each one of whose lives were touched deeply by his warm spirit, sense of humor and love for others. Although he has moved on to a better place, He will be sorely missed forever remembered as a great husband, father, great grandfather, and friend to all who knew him.

Funeral service will be 3PM Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Church on the Rock in Nederland with Ron Hammond officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard's in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, March 9, 2007 from 5-7 PM at the mortuary.
