Lora Belle Allen, 83, of Route 1, West Point, Ill., died at 5:57 p.m. Saturday (June 6, 1987) in Memorial Hospital, Carthage.

Mrs. Allen was born July 2, 1903, in McDonough County, the daughter of Frederick and Rosa Lee Dill Williams. She married Stephen A. Allen on March 1, 1933, in Plymouth. He died in November 1968. She was a member of West Point Christian Church.

Survivors include three sons, Francis Allen and Howard Allen, both of West Point and Larry Allen of Canton, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Franklin of Quincy and Mrs. William (Shirley) Miller of Loraine; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Lamporte Funeral Home, Carthage, by Brother Charles Webb. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family meeting friends from 6 to 8.

Memorials may be made to the West Point Christian Church.
