Doris E. Smith, 82, of Butler died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.
Born Dec. 7, 1920, in Worthington, she was the daughter of Mathew and Viola (Bowser) Bowser.
She was a member of the Eagles and VFW Women's auxiliaries.
Surviving are two daughters, Judith McCrea of Fenelton and Wilma Brandt of Portersville; a son, Russell Johns of Kittanning; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Grace Kline and Velma Simmers, both of Worthington also survive.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Clayton Johns; and her second husband, Wrignold J. Smith, who died March 14, 1990. Two sisters also preceded her in death.
SMITH - Friends of Doris E. Smith, who died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Bates officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Mount Chestnut.
