Paul Gerald Andres, 70, of 5307 West C.R. 1050N, Dupont, died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 10, 1934, in Dupont, the son of Paul H. and Anna Lucile Andres. He had been employed as a truck driver for Lee's Ready Mix in North Vernon, retiring in 1987 after 10 years' service. He was also formerly employed at the Mac-Len Corporation in Madison, and at Cummins Engine Company in Columbus. He was a former member of Dupont Masonic Lodge No. 419, and the former chief of the Dupont Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening and NASCAR racing.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Woolf Andres, whom he married Jan. 16, 1954; two sons, David C. and Larry Dale Andres, both of Dupont; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Dupont Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

The Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home in North Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
