She was born on September 21, 1953 in Burlington, VT the daughter of James and Mildred (Meres) Byrnes. She was a graduate in the class of (year) from Champlain Valley Union High School. She was a home maker and an active member of St. Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church.
Catherine loved spending her time cooking, shopping and working with flowers.
She is survived by her mother Mildred Byrnes of Shelburne, her sister Mary Smith and her husband Bernard of Colchester, and his children: Fred Smith, Heidi Reposa and their children: Tonnie, David, Michael, and Nicole, and Fred's ex-wife, Cindy Smith. Her brother John H. Byrnes and his wife Diane of Burlington, a niece Lisa Marie Drake-Smith and husband Tom. She was predeceased by her father James Byrnes, two uncles Clifford and Norman Meres and one Aunt Doris Ball.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sienna's Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery.
