He was born April 3, 1913 in Spanish Fork, Utah, the son of William C. and Eliza Rosetta Robertson Beckstrom.
He is survived by Della McKell Beckstrom, his wife of 64 years and his three sons Gordon (Arleen), Kent (Jeri) and Glenn (Sara Nadine) and sister Venetta Wainwright and three half brothers Paul, Mark and Blaine. Four brothers, Heber, Golden, Delos and John preceded him in death.
He attended schools in Spanish Fork and BYU. He was an active member of the High Priests in the LDS Church serving in a variety of positions, the last as Financial Clerk in the Parleys Third Ward. He met and overcome adversities with courage and hard work.
He was generous with his time and talents. He was president of the State Association of Letter Carriers and elected delegate to several national conventions. He was on the audit committee of the Post Office Credit Union. He was recognized as the outstanding postal employee of the year of the Western Region of the United States Postal Service. He loved gardening, the outdoors, and was an excellent baker.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, May 7, 1997 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive where friends may call prior to the services from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Interment at Spanish Fork Cemetery will follow the services.
