Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thurs., Nov. 7 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel for Bess M. Sauer, who died Nov. 4, 1996 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Bess Marie Sauer was born April 14, 1903 in Ray County, Mo. She was called "Sweetie Pie" by her family, a name that carried through three generations of "girls."

She married Bernard Sauer. They lived in Burlington, Wash. until 1992. She then returned to Blair to spend time with her daughter, Ethel Thompson.

She was a member of the Baptist Church and was proud that she was baptized in the Yakima River.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Viles and Bernard Sauer; her daughter, Ethel Thompson and a brother, Art Kennedy.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Louann Lierman of Blair; great-granddaughters and their husbands, Theresa and Robert Erixon of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Amy and Michael Stephens of Omaha and a great-great-granddaughter, Courtney Erixon of Missouri Valley.
