Rigby -- Alma Irvin Collier, 70, of Rigby, Idaho, died Feb. 11, 2002, at his home.
He was born Dec. 7, 1931, at Washington, Utah, to Charles Julius Collier and Martha (Mettie) Connell Collier. He grew up and attended schools in the Rigby area.
On June 26, 1964, he married Sharron Lou Jensen at Weiser. He served with the National Guard and during the Korean conflict, he served in the Army.
He drove truck for construction companies and for various potato operations. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans Association. Alma was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Surviviors include his wife, Sharron Collier of Rigby; six daughters, Gaydria (Arthur) Raymond of Spokane, Wash., Darla (James) Laird of Rigby, RaNae (Brett) Scherck of Bridgeport, Neb., Darcy (Denny) Delezene of Pocatello, Sharri (Nile) Hodgson of Rigby, and Alice Collier of Rigby; two sons; Seron Collier and Charles Collier, both of Rigby; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, three brothers and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 W. Main, Rigby. The family met with friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
