Delilah/Deliliah H. (Moss) Fleming was the eleventh and youngest child of Samuel Moss (1823-1887) and Sarah (Alexander) Moss (1830-1891).

She married three times:
1.) Albert A. Barber, in St. Joseph, Missouri, on 19 March 1893;
2.) Charles Hewitt, in Will County, Illinois, on 30 April 1898; and
3.) William Fleming II, in Kankakee County, Illinois, on 11 July 1923.

She had two known children:
1.) John Francis Hewitt (1899-1962); and
2.) Catherine M. (Hewitt) McCormack (1905-1975).

Delilah lived most of her life in Joliet, Illinois. She also lived several years with her son in La Porte, Indiana, and in Chicago, Illinois. Her last husband, William Fleming, is buried at Elmhurst Cemetery, in Joliet, Illinois.

Note: Two censuses state that that Delilah was of Mexican-Spanish descent, that her father was Spanish, and her mother was Mexican. However, her marriage record to William Fleming in 1923 clearly states that her father's name was Samuel Moss and her mother's maiden name was Sarah Alexander, who were both born in the U.S. -- It is likely she had black hair, dark brown eyes, and an olive complexion, that is known to be common with many of her siblings and their descendants, which possibly led to this identification for her ancestry.
