Frank M. Dundon, of 615 E. 7th St., Rock Falls, passed away a the Community General Hospital Monday.
He was born May 30, 1873, in Sterling, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Dundon. Mr. Dundon attended the local schools and farmed in Montmorency Township. He was well know in the area for his fiddling for old time square dances. He moved to town as a young man and was united in marriage to Edna B. Smith. They resided in the Rock Falls area their entire married life until divorced around 1919. He worked for Russell Burdsall and Ward Bolt and Nut Co. for about 17 years.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Herman (Agnes) Stutzke, Galt; Mrs. Howard (Clara) Conley, Mrs. Raymond (Frances) Stroup, Mrs. William (Elaine) King, all of Rock Falls; Mrs. Clarence (Laura) Erickson, Long Beach, Calif.; One son, Lawrence Dundon, Long Beach Calif.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents, his ex-wife, Edna; two children in infancy, one brother John, and one sister, Josephine Dundon.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Shiffer of the Rock Falls Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Falls Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
