Sherry was a vibrant 16 yr. old, who loved life and God. She was very active in the youth groups at Bethany Open Bible Church in Tacoma.

She loved horses and rode often. She loved butterflies too! Her room was filled with pictures of horses and butterflies. She said they made her feel free as the wind.

Just minutes before her death, she had been to a field of wild flowers to do her daily prayer. She loved that field of flowers, she always said she felt closer to God there. It was like he was there with her.

Sherry had her driver's license a very short time. Her Mom and Step-dad had bought her a small economy car. She would drive her car daily to the spot she picked for her daily prayer. It was on April 22, 2003 she left her field of wild flowers and was headed home when she was hit head-on. Her Mom and Step-dad were in Arizona at the time. Her older sister was staying with Sherry until they got back. At the scene of the accident the EMT's tried to save Sherry, but there was such a loss of blood and severe internal injuries. They rushed her to the hospital for emergency surgery. But they were too late. The internal injuries were too vast.

On my way home from work that late eve on April 22, I passed the remains of a horrific accident. There were firetrucks and police cars everywhere. Tow trucks trying to pry apart cars and clean up debris. Unbeknownst to me, it was the accident that killed Sherry Lynn. Sherry Lynn's Mom is one of my best-friends. The field of wild flowers that Sherry went to for her daily prayers, is just a half mile from my house. The accident was just a mile from my house. I pass the accident spot where there is a memorial grave set up for Sherry on a daily basis. So I am reminded everyday, that God took one of our young to be an Angel with Him. He only takes the Best so young and Sherry was an Angel when she was alive, so you know she is an Angel now. GOD Blessed you Sherry Lynn.

A Celebration of Life for Sherry was held at "Bethany Open Bible Church" at 8415 Waller Rd. East, Tacoma, WA on April 27, 2003 at 3:00 pm.
