Of Silver Spring, MD passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2012.
Born to Frank and Eva Albert, she was a native of Washington, DC and moved to Georgia two years ago to be closer to her nephews.
Joan was a lifelong Federal employee at Harry Diamond Laboratory and The National Zoo.
She was an exceptionally generous and goodhearted person, a talented artist and pianist, with a love for animals.
Joan is survived by her loving nephews, Robert and Eric, and her sister Marjorie.
The Funeral was held September 13 at Dressler's Jewish Funeral Care, Atlanta, GA.
