Mrs. Rackler was born July 25, 1909 in Montague County. She moved to Post in 1921. Oma married Roscoe Rackler Nov. 21, 1931 in Post. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1996. She previously lived in Hackberry, and moved to the Slaton area in 1944, then to Smyer in 1963. She was a homemaker, who retired from farming, along with her husband, in 1980.
Survivors include three daughters, Frances Langley of Smyer, Nancy Bartley of Slaton, and Patsy Newton of Canyon Lake; and two sons, R.D. Rackler of Levelland, and Johnny Rackler of Slaton; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren
