Kaitlyn Lee Jeffcoat-Mincey, 9, of Swansea, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Sardis Baptist Church with Rev. Dean Reynolds and Rev. Tim Sieberhagen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The casket will be placed in the church at 5 p.m.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Judith Mincey Haley and Joshua Haley, of Manning; her father and stepmother, Mitchell and Kristina Jeffcoat, of Pelion; two half-sisters: Brianna and Taylor Haley, of Manning; three half-brothers Nathan, Jessie Lee, and Joey Jeffcoat, of Pelion; maternal grandparents and caregivers: Robin Mincey and John Montjoy, of Swansea; and Junior Mincey: maternal great-grandparents: Acie and Judith Scott; paternal grandparents: Tammy Jefffcoat and Paul Argoe, and Doug Jeffcoat; two aunts, Jennifer Mincey and Jamie Shealy; and two uncles, Joseph Mincey and Jimmy Mincey.

Kaitlyn was a miracle sent to us 9 years ago. She was an angel on earth, and now is in heaven, running and playing and eating sweet potatoes. She was a blessing to everyone who met her, and she will be in our hearts forever. She will always be our little princess.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Saturday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfh.com).

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the teachers and doctors who have helped and supported Kaitlyn and the family over the years.
