Ruby Mae Williams, passed away at her home on May 9, 2005, with her family at her bedside, age 91.

Ruby was born on March 3, 1914, in Ardmore, OK, to William and Rachel Collins. She moved with her family to Gilroy in 1946. Ruby enjoyed planting her vegetable garden and tending her flowers. Her family loved her homemade apricot jam and fried pies. She had many interests but dedicated her life to caring for her family.

Ruby is preceded in death by husbands Jess Butler, Dean Boyer, Salomon Brewer and Willard Williams; siblings Donnie, Onnie, Lorene, Jack, Charlie, Leona and Naomie and grandson Steven Butler.

She leaves behind her siblings Ruth Gardner of Dover, OK, Juanita Colbert of Hayward, CA, and Jim Collins of Houston, MO; children Geri Mathus, Charles Butler and Leo Butler all of Gilroy, and Jessie Hawkins of Santa Clara; grandchildren Ron Powell, Mike Powell, David Rutjes, Natalie Baker, Paul Butler, Kevin Metz, Debbie Butler and Charles Butler, Jr.; great-grandchildren Anthony Rutjes, Sean Powell, Brooke Powell, Emily Powell, Brent Butler, Sherelle Butler, Amanda Baker, Justin Baker, Lindsay Baker, Chris Butler, Jacob Butler and Patrick Butler; and great-great grandchildren to Jessica Metz and Justice Rutjes.

Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy, CA. A celebration of Ruby's life was held on May, 13, 2005, at the funeral home. Entombment at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
