Obituary: Mary Ilene Monday Dodson, 79, of Spring City, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at the Rhea Medical Center in Dayton.
She was born Feb. 6, 1933 in Rhea County to Dave Abraham and Ida Pearl Cooper Monday. She was a member of Spring City Church of Christ.
Mrs. Monday was preceded in death by her husband, Allen (Speedy) Dodson; parents, Abe and Ida Monday; sisters, Jessie Monday, Pearl Bare and Hazel Monday and brother, Earl Monday.
Survivors include daughter, Donna Dodson Knox and husband, Randy of Spring City; grandson, Adam Newport of Spring City; great-granddaughter, Katherine Newport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood, Tenn. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. in Evans Mortuary Chapel with Bro. Travis Hass officiating. The graveside and interment will follow in the Glen Alice Cemetery, Rockwood, Tenn.
