Boy Loses Life By Kick of Horse
Salt Lake, Oct. 26-Alan Jack Orchard, 14, died Tuesday at a local hospital from injuries received October 15, when he was kicked by a horse which was hitched to a cart, in which he was riding. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Orchard, 936 South First West street. The lad was rescued from the Bountiful reservoir last year by Odell Christensen, who lost his life saving young Orchard.

Funeral services for Alan Jack Orchard, who died Tuesday, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Thirtieth ward chapel. Bishop Leonard B. Cluff will officiate. Friends may view the body Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the family residence, 936 South First West. Interment will be in the Wasatch Lawn cemetery, under the direction of the Deseret mortuary.
