Mr and Mrs J H Henry celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at their country home northeast of Crossville on Saturday, October 11.
J H Henry married Adelia Ann Deck on October 11, 1891. They had 11 children, 8 of whom are still living: Mrs Charles Taylor, Clifty; W E Henry, Crossville; Rev J T Henry, Frankfort, Mi; Mrs J Leslie Myers, Ravenscroft; Mrs W C Johnson, Atlanta, Ga; Miss Eula Henry, Hartsville; Deck Henry, Nashville; Ward Henry, at home.
Mr Henry was a member of the county court from 1899 to 1918 and sheriff of Cumberland county from 1922-24. His maternal grandfather, Col Eldridge Myatt, was a member of the legislature in 1856 and introduced the bill which formed Cumberland county.
Mrs Henry is a sister of the late Judge G F Deck, Durant, Okla, who was well known to many of the older settlers of this county. Other brothers and sisters who are living are: Esq M D Deck, Durant, Okla; John Deck and Mrs C B Lenoir, Broken Bow, Okla; Mrs W R Milligan, Soddy; Mrs J w Powers, Jamestown.
