Clint Dipley
Clinton ‘Clint’ Dipley, age 66, Joplin, Mo., passed away at 6:31 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2005, at a local hospital.
Mr. Dipley was born June 11, 1938, in Webb City, Mo., to the late Jessie W. Dipley and Loretta Oatman Dipley and had lived in the Joplin area since 1959.
He worked for Missouri Gas Energy for over 25 years.
He was a certified scuba diver; and loved to hunt and fish.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was awarded several citations for bravery.
He was a loving father; grandfather; and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Jean (Carlton) Dipley; daughter, Karla Taylor, Carl Junction, Mo.; two sons, Gary Dipley and Larry Dipley, both of Joplin; two sisters, Betty Briscoe, Baxter Springs, Kan., and Juanita Curl, Joplin; brother, Ray Dipley, Joplin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
Johnie Adkins will officiate. Pallbearers will be Pete Starchman, Dave Munkries, Don Dipley, Randy Dipley, Ryan Greer and Erik Olson.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
