"Charles Wesley Lockwood was born January 15, 1852 near Cortland, Michigan and died November 27, 1919 at his home in Gibbon, Nebraska. He came to Nebraska with his parents in 1867 making their home near Lincoln until 1894 when he moved on a farm near Lowell.
"About eleven years ago he moved into Gibbon. On January 8, 1876 he married Elizabeth Betzer. They were the parents of 5 children:
"Frank S. Lockwood, Fletcher, Okla.
"Mrs. Clara Barrett
"Charles H. Lockwood
"Mrs. Mary Brown
"Allie Lockwood
"He also leaves 2 brothers and 2 sisters:
"Frank Lockwood, Lawton, Michigan
"Mrs. Ella Barney, Kalamazoo, Michigan
"Harry Lockwood, Grand Haven, Michigan
"Mrs. Otela Hooks, Ashtown, Arkansas.
"Interment was in Riverside Cemetery."
