Charles Neri Boyer, 79, of 510 E. Meyer Ave., New Castle, Lawrence County, PA, died in Jameson Memorial Hospital today, August 1, 1962, at 3:05 a.m. following a four month illness. He was born July 23, 1883, in Oakland Township, near Franklin, PA, a son of Jeremiah and Rachel Weaver Boyer.
A member of the First Church of God, New Castle, he was a retired foreman of the Pennsylvania Railroad Co.
On November 2, 1905, he married Mabel Mae Shaffer, who survives, with three children, Mrs. Clyde C. (Eleanor Matilda) Altman, New Castle, Grant Arlo Boyer, New Castle, and William Harold Boyer, Ellwood City; a brother, George Milton Boyer, Anderson, IN; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm Saturday from First Church of God, Euclid Ave. at Beaver St., with Rev. Daniel Ratzlaff officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Memorial Division.
