She was born in Murrey City, Ohio the daughter of Melvin and Laura (Wright) Tolliver. She loved to paint and had many of her oil paintings displayed locally, she also enjoyed playing her guitar at local festivals. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Stobart, two brothers Christopher and Alonzo and two sisters, Melva and Violet. She was survived by four sons, Oscar Melvin Stobart, Charles Richard Stobart, Ronald Lewis Stobart and Donald William Stobart; two sisters Laura Tolliver Bates and June Bonner.
