MONTICELLO -- W.G. Carey, 86, of Wilmar (Drew County), died Saturday in a hospital here. He was a retired farmer. He was a Presbyterian. Surviving are two sons, John C. Carey of South Carolina and O. V. Carey of Nevada; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Carey Gaske of Pine Bluff, Mrs. Geneva Lydy of Alaska, Mrs. Era Grant and Mrs. Vesta Rhodes, both of Monticello; a brother, John Carey of Norphlet; 24 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the New Hope Assembly of God Church at Wilmar. Burial was in Sixteenth Century Cemetery by Frazer Funeral Home.
