Viola Frick, 91, of Wausau passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born May 19, 1921 in the town of Stettin to the late Paul and Alma (Mundinger) Nehring. On June 1, 1944 she married Theodore Frick in Wausau. While raising their three children, Viola worked at Wausau Insurance, Trinity Lutheran Church and Wausau Supply. She was also an election poll worker in Ward 2 for 14 years. Viola and Ted are members of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending Bible study and singing in the choir. In her younger years, she was past president and member of the Trinity Welfare Workers. Viola's pastimes included bowling and quilting.
Survivors include her husband, Theodore of Wausau, three children, Jeanette Frick, Alan (Suzanne) Frick all of Jasper, Texas, Lori (John) Gray of Baileys Harbor, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and special friends, Eunice and Elgart Baumann of Wausau. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerhard Nehring and sister, Edna Kage.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Reverend Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
