Born and raised in the Cedar Grove community of Barren Co.
Son of: Dan C and Sallie Renfro.
Former member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church and upon moving to Glasgow, he joined the Glasgow Baptist Church. Charter member and former president of the Glasgow Lions CLub, a membser of the Glasgow Lions Club, member Glasgow Golf and Country Club. Active in community affairs and the promotion of Glasgow, was in the lumber business for many years as co-owner of the Old Planing Mill.

Wife: Elsie Renfro
Grandson: Morgan Pendleton Fears III
Great-grandchildren: Morgan Pendleton Fears IV, Christopher Justin Fears and Nathaniel Fears.
Stepson: Walter Winn Davis and wife Edwina of Glasgow
Stepdaughters: Mary Davis Cohron and husband Dr. Jerry Cohron of Bowling Green and Jackie Caldwell and husband William of Henderson, KY.
Several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded also in death by daughter: Sara Margaret Fears.
Services: 3 pm Friday, 14 April 2000, A. F. Crow and Son Funeral Home, burial Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
