Graveside services for former Lamont resident Denver Leon Pickett, 55, were held Saturday April 20 at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, Oklahoma.
Pickett died Wednesday, April 17, 1985 in Fort Smith, Arkansas after a long illness.
He was born August 15, 1929 to William and Iva Pickett in Okemah, Oklahoma and is survived by his wife, Betty, of Rt. 2, Box 1181-3, Vian, Oklahoma, 74962.
Other survivors include his mother Iva Youngblood of Lamont; six sons Gene Pickett of Oildale, Harvey Pickett of Bakersfield, James Pickett and Denny Pickett of Vian, Oklahoma, Larry Pickett of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and Kenny Pickett of Modesto, California; four daughters, Sandra Mason and Alta Kingrey of Bakersfield, Terry Pickett of Vian, Oklahoma and Connie Pickett of Modesto, California; two brothers, Eugene Pickett and J. C. Pickett of Lamont; two sisters, Kay Wilson of Cayucas and Wanda Breuner of San Gabriel and 15 grandchildren.
