Funeral service for John William Coffman Jr. was April 27, 2013 at Grace Community Church, Salem, with Pastor Trent Morgan, Pastor Roy Bennett and Pastor Gary Bartle officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Music was provided by Daniel Tidwell, Dennis Skiles, Gavin Coffman, Ronnie White, Craig Carter and Shea Wood.
Interment was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Coffman III, John Coffman IV, James Coffman, Michael Smith, Randy Coffman and Dennis Southards. Honorary pallbearers were Gavin Coffman, Malachi Coffman and Dallas Southards.
Mr. Coffman was born August 9, 1937 in Shirley to John William and Lillie Irene (Parker) Coffman. He married Bonnie Faye Southards December 24, 1959. Mr. Coffman died April 23, 2013 in Salem at the age of 75 years.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Coffman, Salem; children, Vickie Coffman, Salem; and John Coffman III, Rolla; brothers, Larry Coffman, Springfield; Ronnie Coffman and wife, Debbie, Rolla; and Lynn Coffman and wife, Elisa, Rolla; sister, Sue Smith and husband, Gerald, Salem; grandchildren, John Coffman IV and wife, Amie, Warrenton; James Coffman and wife, Shikra, Warrenton; Jessica Tudor, Rolla; and Michael Smith, Salem; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two infant children; brothers, Ralph, Leo and Wayne Coffman; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Coffman.
Mr. Coffman was the door greeter at Grace Community Church.
