Christina was the daughter of Henry and Anna Maria Secrist, Anna Maria being Henry's second wife. Christina married in Frederick Co. Va. on July 2, 1811 to John George Lamp, Jr., their marriage was performed by Lutheran minister Rev. Christian Streit. Before 1820, Christina and George moved from Frederick Co. Va. to Belmont Co. Ohio. George's parents and other members of the Secrist and Lamp families also moved to Belmont Co. In 1821, George purchased a farm in Goshen Twp. that adjoined the property of Peter and Anna Maria "Mary" (Secrest) Yoe, Anna Maria being Christina's sister. George was a farmer, sawmill operator and lumber merchant in Goshen Twp. Christina and George had six children.

George married his second wife Nancy Steller on June 28,1829 in Belmont Co. George and Nancy had nine children; Mary E, Maria J, Christina, Martha, Rebecca A, Hannah A, William P, Emily and Caroline Lamp. In the 1860's, George, Nancy and George's brother Abraham and his wife Jane (Hesson) Lamp moved to White Co. Illinois.
