Death of Mr. Baucom

Died at his home on Ridgeway, Sunday morning, John Jackson Baucom, aged 49 years. Mr. Baucom was afflicted with consumption and for the past eight months has been confined to his home.

The deceased was born in Jackson county, but ha lived here for the past twenty-eight years. He was formerly senior member of the firm of Baucom and Peterson.

Mr. Baucom was a widower, his wife having died about 8 years ago. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. A.O. Peterson, Clyde Baucom and Etta Baucom all of this city. A brother, William of Lexington, and a sister, Mrs. Martha Wolfe, of Wellington, also survive.

The funeral services conducted by Rev. R.B. Briney, were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery.
