Henrietta J. 'Heinnie' Olin, age 90, of Lynden, was taken to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the Christian Health Care Center on Monday, April 22, 2013.

The daughter of Peter and Martha (Wickers) Visser, she was born in Cawker City, Kansas on August 14, 1922 and moved with her family to the Lynden area in 1937.

She married Vernon 'Shorty' Olin in Kim Sham Cove, Alaska on December 7, 1941. They raised their family in Lynden where Shorty worked for the telephone company and was a volunteer firefighter and Heinnie worked as a cook for the Lynden School District for 26 years. She was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Lynden and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Olin was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, in August 2007; sisters, Dorothy Postoma and Bernice VanDalen, and brothers, Donald and Martin Visser.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 1, at 10:00 a.m. in Greenacres Memorial Park, followed by Memorial Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Reformed Church, 7th & Liberty Sts., Lynden.
