Lola was born to Frank Garfield and Pearl (Kechely) With in Odell, Gage County, Nebraska. Lola had two sisters and one brother. Her family moved to Chester, Thayer County, Nebraska when she was four years old. She graduated from Chester High School in 1939 and moved to Hastings, Adams County, Nebraska where she entered Mary Lanning School of Nursing. She became a registered nurse working for a private doctor in the Hastings area. Lola married Harvey A. Aulrich on July 21, 1946. Lola and Harvey adopted two boys to complete their family. Lola became a mother and homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hastings where she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. After her husband, Harvey passed away she stayed on the farm for many years but finally moved to Harvard Rest Haven, where she spent the final days of her life.
