Roy H. Adams
Roy H. Adams, 76, of 345 E. Colliery Ave., Tower City was killed instantly Saturday evening while crossing the street at Grand Ave. in Tower City. He was pronounced dead by Dr. Stanley Doe.
Born in Williamstown, he was a son of the late Rolandus and Katie (Bast) Adams. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member of the John Wanascak American Legion Post No. 124, Lykens.
Surviving are a daughter and a son, Mrs. Jeannie Sanders of York, Bruce of Marshfield, Mass!, two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Martz of Ridley Park, Philadelphia, Mrs. Verna Miller of Pottstown, four brothers, Elmer of Lykens, Russell of Toms River, N. J.; Ray of Williamstown, Marlin of Jonestown, RD Lebanon County, one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at the convenience of the family from the Stewart Dreisigacker Funeral Home, Tower City, with Rev. Charles A. Bailey, pastor of United Methodist Church, Williamstown officiating and interment in the United Methodist Cemetery, Williamstown.

Roy H. Adams Killed When Hit by Car
Roy H. Adams, 76, of 345 E. Colliery Ave., was killed instantly Saturday night while crossing Grand Ave. near Fifth St.
Police Chief Alvin Lubold stated Adams attempted to cross the street, dodging between several oncoming cars, and was struck by the car driven by Francis Griffith. No blame was attributed to the driver of the car. Adams was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Dr. Stanley Doe.
Born April 14, 1897, at Williamstown, Adams was a son of Rolandus and Katie Bast Adams.
He was a member of John Yanascak American Legion Post 124, Lykens, having served in the US Army during World War II.
