Leroy Kenneth Hoff, 83, of Greeley died Sunday December 13, 2009 at Northern Colorado Long Term Acute Hospital following a recent illness.

LeRoy was born July 11, 1926 on his grandmother's farm in Eaton, CO to Conrad and Elizabeth (Walters) Hoff.

He went to Gill Elementary School, Auburn School and graduated in 1944 from Kersey High School where he was Class President. After high school he joined the Merchant Marines and served for two years.

In 1947 he married Phyllis Beemer, they later divorced. On October 7, 1967 he married Vera Will. They were together 42 years at the time of his passing.

LeRoy was a farmer and cattle feeder in LaSalle and Greeley areas he entire life. He retired in 1991 but continued to help his son with harvest until 2006 when his health worsened.

He served on the Union Ditch Company Board for 20 years, retiring in 2006. He was an avid bowler and played on the Greeley Senior Softball team for several years. He liked sports and enjoyed watching football and baseball on television. LeRoy was a member of the Greeley Wesleyan Church and the Kersey Senior Center.
LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Andra White.
