Robert and Cate came to Tennessee from Maryland. Their parents were Scotch-Irish immigrants. They had the following children:
John, Ida, Mrs Richard Miller, Edwin, Josephine, George, Maggie, Will and Arthur. Arthur and Will died in the Yakima, Washington area.
Most of the other children stayed in the Crab Orchard area.
∼Robert C. Swan served in the 3rd Tennessee Infantry, Civil War. He died in Grassy Cove, Cumberland, County. I believe him to be the same Robert C. Swan who was born December 29, 1829 and who is buried in this cemetery.
